Have you ever heard the saying “work hard, play harder” before? Well, being an employee at BMI Elite, I can truly say I know the meaning of this saying in its whole integrity. While most people feel their devotion and hard work for the companies they work for goes overlooked, at BMI Elite, our boss understands and recognizes the extra effort everyone puts into the company to help make it grow and succeed.

So, while most people were still in their offices at 4 o’clock on Friday July 29^th 2011, the BMI team was hitting the mean streets of Delray Beach to celebrate an amazing month of outstanding work, including being ranked #1 in NextMark’s report of Top List Managers for Data Card Quality. The destination, you ask? Deck 84!

Located right on the water front, Deck 84 was anything but disappointing. Catering to the office, I thought Deck 84’s food runners and staff had their work cut out for them. Flying through the restaurant like a jet out of Top Gun while carrying endless appetizers that could complement diverse palettes, it’s fair to say I was impressed. Snacking on appetizers that consisted of sliders, cheese burger egg rolls, fries, nachos with dip, flat bread pizza with goat cheese, etc., it’s surprising I didn’t gain a couple pounds.

Now, living in South Florida, you can understand the temperatures we deal with daily… but even being a full-fledged Floridian, I wasn’t prepared for the heat that was presented to us on this day. This is why you could find us under the misters at the outside bar overlooking the water, where all my co-workers and I were enjoying refreshing beverages, courtesy of BMI Elite. It was great to see everyone letting loose and enjoying their time outside of the office in the company of their co-workers. Personally, I feel it’s refreshing to know I work with an awesome group of people that know how to have fun in and outside the office walls.

Once an hour passed and multiple drinks were consumed, it was funny to see how quickly shields were dropped and the personalities were shinning out of everyone like the sun on a bright Florida day. Surrounded by the laughter and jokes around me, it was safe to say everyone was enjoying their time. As they should be, because we all work hard five days a week – it’s good to know it doesn’t get taken for granted. Thank you, Deck84, Brandon and everyone who helped setup this awesome day for everyone! Let’s make every month as great as the last, to the top we go BMI!
